Who am I?
My name is Gabríel and I was born and raised in Iceland. In 2020, I took the plunge and bought a one-way flight to Mexico for a Discipleship Training School (DTS) run by Youth with a Mission (YWAM). After the school I decided to stay and live fully for God and what He called me to do. I did a bunch of things while there; such as building houses for the homeless, distributing Bibles and talking to people on the red light districts of Tijuana city and all kinds of worship opportunities. Later, I did a Bible program (SBS) which focused on reading and understanding the Bible in its original context. After about three years, I went back to Iceland for a while, but now God has put a new place on my heart, Japan.

What am I doing?
In Japan, less than 1% of people believe in God. By far, most people follow traditions such as ancestor worship, Buddhism, or Shintoism. Belief in dead things is not uncommon, but we have a living God who wants to meet people where they are. My role in this context is to be a messenger of this spirit; the spirit of love, peace, understanding and empowerment, the spirit of Jesus Christ. My passions are Bible teaching and musical worship, and my goal is to use these passions to spread the word of Jesus in Japan.
Do you want to be a part of what I'm doing?
What I am doing is more or less voluntary work, so I need people with me in this mission. You can partner with me by supporting financially or supporting in prayer (it's also always uplifting when someone reaches out just to chat). There are many ways to partner up without being on the front line itself, but by supporting me financially or in prayer, you are directly participating in the building up of God's kingdom in Japan.
